FearFest 2025: AMC & AMC+ Bring Back Over 650 Hours of Horror This October
Spooky season is officially here, and horror fans have plenty to celebrate—AMC and AMC+ have announced the return of FearFest, the legendary month-long horror programming event. With more than 650 hours of iconic films, franchises, marathons, specials, and brand-new series, this year’s lineup promises to keep your October filled with screams, chills, and late-night thrills.
Award-winning artist and horror enthusiast Janelle Monáe returns once again as FearFest’s official host and “HalloQueen.” Throughout October, she’ll be spotlighting her love of horror across AMC’s social channels and curating her own set of favorites on AMC+. Her “FearFest Favorites” collection includes classics like The Birds, Carrie (1976), Child’s Play (1988), Halloween (1978), Jeepers Creepers, Psycho, Rear Window, and Vertigo, along with modern titles such as Late Night with the Devil and Speak No Evil.
Monáe summed up the season perfectly:
“Halloween is a time to investigate fears, transform them, and celebrate the unknown. Horror has always been a space to honor the classics while championing bold new voices. I’m thrilled to return as the HalloQueen with AMC Networks and FearFest to share my favorite films and this Halloween season with all my fellow horror enthusiasts!”
This year’s FearFest highlights include:
-
Franchise marathons: Halloween, Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Final Destination, and Stephen King classics like It, The Shining (45th anniversary), and Misery (35th anniversary).
-
