Free Comic Book Day is Back, and bigger than ever!

Mark your calendars and get ready for the biggest comic book event of the year! Join us on Saturday May 6th 2023 from 10am-5pm at the Hamilton Mall as we celebrate Free Comic Book Day (FCBD). This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with an amazing lineup of vendors, comic creators, and a cosplay contest, plus much more. And the best part? You can get your hands on some of the most popular comic books for free!

But that's not all - NERDTHUSIAST will also be joining us for the event and will be hosting a booth all day. Make sure to drop by and meet some of the talented Nerdthusiast creators. And if that wasn't exciting enough, NERDTHUSIAST will also be raffling off a FREE Legend of Zelda Switch - you won't want to miss out on this amazing opportunity!

 

To add to the excitement, we'll also have some special guests joining us, including Wes, the co-host of NERDTHUSIAST's video game show, Brian and Anthony from the Poker Podcast, and Taylor from the Twitch Team. So come on down and join in on the fun - this is an event the whole family will enjoy. The Nerdthusiast Table will also have a special free comic giveaway. 2023 Costume Contest Details & Rules

 

Where and When:

Our Costume Contest is part of our Free Comic Book Day 2023 festivities, happening on May 6, 2023 at Level Up Entertainment in the Hamilton Mall - Mays Landing, NJ!

Sign-Up: Official Entry Forms for the contest will be available at our FCBD Costume Contest Sign-Up Table located near Level Up Entertainment between 10 AM and 3 PM.

Contest: The contest itself will be held before a panel of judges and a live audience at the FCBD Main Event Stage  starting at 3:15 PM. Contestants must arrive at 3 PM!

How to Enter:

Entering the contest is easy:

• Attend Free Comic Book Day at Level Up Entertainment on May 6, 2023 in costume!

• Visit our FCBD Costume Contest Sign-Up Table between 10 am and 3 pm to fill out an Official Entry Form and get your Contestant Number!

• Be present at 3 PM with your Contestant Number, ready to show off your costume to our judges and everyone in the audience!

How to Win:

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

• Best Junior (ages 12 and under)

• Best Group (2 or more costumers of any age)

• Best Adult Costume (Ages 13 and up. Prizes will be award for first, second, and third places)

Contestants will be judged on a point scale based on 2 criteria:

• Craftsmanship - Is the costume handmade or store-bought? How well is it put together?

• Style - How well is the costume presented? Overall, how awesome is it?
