  • Recapping the 2022 BetMGM Championship

In the previous year's inaugural event, players also had the chance to win seats to the grand tournament. Among them was Benji Felson, a New Jersey resident, who qualified for the 2022 tournament.

Felson secured his participation in the Las Vegas championship by participating in a $500 online tournament, where he earned his seat. Out of the 343 entries, 68 players, including Felson, qualified online. Felson impressively finished in fifth place, taking home a prize of $51,587.

Reflecting on his win and newfound wealth, Felson expressed his gratitude, stating, "Everything here was great, and hopefully, I'll be back."

Ultimately, Joey Weissman from New York emerged victorious, claiming the championship title and a prize of $224,236. This year, the organizers have raised the guaranteed prize pool even higher to $2 million, and they are confident in their aspirations.

So, if you're a poker player based in New Jersey, don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to compete in the BetMGM Poker Championship live event in Las Vegas and vie for your share of the massive prize pool. Good luck!
