Disney is keeping us on our toes! Grab your ears and let’s talk Fantasmic. Fantasmic is the long
running nighttime show in Hollywood Studios that debuted in 1992. The show includes scenes
from iconic Disney movies, pyro techniques, water projections, a boat filled with all our favorite
characters, and a giant dragon, to start. new follow sorcerer Mickey through his imagination,
and the show that follows is truly something to behold.
Fantasmic takes place in both Disneyworld and Disneyland, however the show has been back
on the west coast for ma few months now. Both shows closed when the parks closed due to
COVID, however Disneyworld seems to be taking a little longer to get back on their feet. The
show has been closed since 2020, and we have missed it since. The lake them show takes place
in has been drained, filled, drained again, filled and arial shots even showed the different
structural improvements that took place.
In the past few months, Disney has dropped a few hints. A cute TikTok , a promise of an
opening announcement at D23, and now the latest is that it will open in November. Rehearsals
have been happening since the summer and are fully cast and in dress rehearsals currently.
Who knows, maybe Fantasmic will be open for my November trip, Some imagination, huh?
