New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event Series Revealed

    Shredder is teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!! IDW comics announced a new eight issue miniseries titled TMNT: The Armageddon Game, will see ole Shreddhead step in to lead the 4 brothers against the main antagonist of the plot, The Rat King! It is due to be released in August and will be written by Tom Waltz and illustrated by Vincenzo Federici.

    Tom Waltz, who penned the first 100 issues of the current IDW run and also The Last Ronin has described this as a "game changing event that had been a decade in the making." Our new alliance for clan Hamato will have our protagonists facing off against The Rat King and his newly allied trio of LeatherKrang, Baxter Stockman and Madame Null.

    It also looks like the recently revealed, mysterious white masked Ninja Turtles that were featured in this year's Free Comic Book day issue, will show up in this story arc as well. It's teased that the TMNT from the corners of New York City to the depths of other dimensions. With a ton of players involved in the comic, more than a few surprises, The Armageddon Game looks to deliver on all fronts.

    Whether you're new to the team of the TMNT comics or a lifelong fan like me, this is definitely looking like a must read.   The IDW comic book run which has been extremely solid, currently at issue 127, only continues to get better with unique and interesting premises like this. Keep your eyes peeled, behind those multi-colored bandanas for the summer time release of this series! 🐢 👊
