Funko Pop Sets Six Figure Sale!
In the realm of Funko Pops, there are a few "grails" that to most
people would seem impossible to ever own. Well today it seems like one
of the most exclusive Funko Pop has set an incredible record, selling
for 100k. Purchased by a collector only known as GrailMonster, this
contributor and shareholder of Pops Price Guide also known as PPG (PPG
is the pricing guide for Funko Pops) has now added one of the Holy
Grails into his collection.
So
what makes this Funko Pop so sought after? Well the two piece set is
made up of Willy Wonka and one of his loyal Oompa-Loompas all dressed up
in gold. They were produced back in 2016 for fans who discovered the
elusive Golden Ticket at San Diego Comic Con, and were limited to only
10 being made!
The
deal went down in Glendale, California at Chalice Collectibles between
GrailMonster and a private seller. This isn't the first big buy for
GrailMonster, if you checkout his YouTube page you'll see he also
recently bought other limited pieces for big prices! This purchase,
though, seems to be the most ever paid for ANY Funko Pop according to
PPG.
