Magic The Gathering: Streets of New Capenna new video released

Filmmaker Cameron S. Mitchell and local game store owner Dave Sheedy teamed up this past weekend to make a film noir style short set in the universe of Magic the Gathering’s “Streets of New Capenna”. The result is…well if you like old school gum shoe on the streets like PERRY MASON or even new noir like SIN CITY let’s just say you’re in for a wild ride. Cameron has made films for Marvel and Dave runs one of the most successful start up game stores on the east coast so let’s just say this one’s got the GABAGOOL and then some. "Dave called me late monday night with a script that he had wrote based in the new Magic the Gathering universe Streets of New Capenna, said Cameron Mitchell. " I say yes immediately as one does when they are a film and magic nerd who has never gotten the op to shoot something magic related. I grabbed my Sony Fs7 with the Zeiss 35mm 1.4 and a Black and White LUT from xdcam-user.com and ran over to the store Tuesday night to shoot. Dave Sheedy of Flights 2 in Albany, Ny already had all the props lined up including multiple Black Lotus cards (if you want a price check on those they are each around 40k). We had a blast and had the video done and posted by this Friday March 25th to Youtube. Check it out and let us know what you think!"
